The Boilershop at Bridgnorth is a purpose built building with boiler maintenance and construction of boilers in mind.
With cranage capacity of 5 tons and 30 tons, most boilers are within the Boilershop's capacity.
The Severn Valley Railway has recently completed a new build construction for the Talyllyn Railway. Talyllyn Railway No2 ‘Dolgoch’ has had a traditional style Fletcher Jennings boiler constructed here at Bridgnorth. This boiler has been made using riveted construction techniques, and it also incorporated a C107 grade copper inner firebox assembly.
We would be happy to consider any possible work for traditional style build new constructions. While we do not have the facilities to design the boiler ourselves, we can advise on this should it be required.
All our work is examined at regular intervals by recognised Insurance Inspections, and any boiler manufactured would be CE marked.
