The SVR is well known throughout the heritage railway movement for the standard of its rolling stock and high quality restorations. The SVR is indeed lucky to possess such a large variety of pre-nationalisation and ex-BR coaches that are still earning their keep on a daily basis.
The SVR is proud to now be able to offer to the wider heritage movement the skills and experience of our Bewdley Carriage Department on a contract basis. Our skills range from:
- Joinery
- Sheet metal work
- Glazing
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Traditional coach finishing
We have at our disposal many years knowledge and experience carrying out deep overhauls of a large variety of rolling stock.
The department is able to offer a carriage restoration service tailored to your needs be it a repaint or a full overhaul of your vehicle to our exacting standards. We are also able to offer a repainting service for steam/diesel locomotives, DMU railcars and also the restoration of goods vehicles.
