Engineering Services BoilersmithJob Title: Engineering Services Boilersmith Location: The Boiler Shop, the Railway Station, Hollybush Road, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV16 5DT Wage: Dependant on skills and experience c.£20k Hours: 39 Hours per week, 5 days out of 7, between 08.00-16.45, (15.45 on a Friday). Duration: Permanent position. Details: We are looking for somebody who is dedicated and enthusiastic in learning and preserving heritage skills in boiler making. Ideally you will possess experience in forming metal as well as Oxy Acetylene cutting and welding. Use of machine/air tools is also a requirement. You will be required to be multi tasked performing a wide range of duties, and be required to work from drawings or examples on steam boilers. Duration: Permanent position. Details: We are looking for somebody who is both enthusiastic and skilled in boiler making and has experience of leadership within the Heritage Railway industry. You will act as a deputy for Boiler Shop Manager, and have a full range of skills, knowledge and experience applicable to maintaining and building Steam Locomotive boilers. Ability to Weld to Pressure Vessel standards is a must. You will also have responsibility for overseeing the boiler maintenance of the Severn Valley Railway operational fleet of locomotives.
